Ingredients for spicy sweet chili sauce

2-3 tbsp dried red chilli flakes (adjust to taste)
½ cup/100g white sugar
½ cup/120ml water
½ cup/120ml white vinegar
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp salt ( or to taste )
1 tbsp cornstarch or potato starch or tapioca starch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
