Happy Valentine's Day folks! Here's a sweet little lullaby version of 'The Best'...a big old 80s power pop ballad by Tina Turner. It feels weird calling it by it's proper title, since we assume there's nobody left on the planet who doesn't refer to this song as 'Simply The Best'.
Once again the baritone ukulele gets some love in this arrangement, and we're in love with the warm, twangy sound it adds over the acoustic guitar's fingerpicking.
Valentine's Day's not for everyone, and we're painfully aware of it's genesis as the brainchild of greeting card manufacturers, but it also happens to be the time of year that we fist met way back around 2010, so it's always held a little place in our hearts.
At the same time though, we're not stupid, so we'll be buying all the tat on the 15th of February, when it reverts back to it's original - more reasonable - price.
