The Refuge de la Traye in Méribel is extraordinary and a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. This little traditional yet luxurious hamlet in the middle of the forest up on the mountain away from civilisation surrounded by stunning views of the valley and the forest with a tranquil atmosphere is absolutely amazing!
It is a great base for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing not to mention peace and quiet away from the hassle and bassle. If you're after a unique experience, this is it.
