Neeraj Chopra admitted that injury concerns hindered his performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, but he still managed an impressive 89.45m throw to win silver in the men’s javelin. His attempt to defend his Olympic title was thwarted by Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who set a new Olympic record with a 92.97m throw to win gold. Despite his injury, Neeraj achieved the second and third-best throws of his career in Paris and became the fourth athlete from independent India to win two Olympic medals.
