Metal bands are known for aggression and intensity, sure! But many--if not the vast majority of the popular bands of the niche--have gone into very sad, depressive territories with their heartfelt ballads throughout the decades of metal and rock's existence. I compiled a list of some of my favorites! And I'd love to hear about yours!
