Hey hey hey! Today we are taking a tour of the 2027 Columbus 389FLH! I call Columbus one of the best-kept secrets in the RV industry because you’re getting the quality, features, and feel people expect from the big-name fifth wheels without paying extra just for the name on the front cap. This 389FLH brings a huge front living room, elevated rear bedroom, and a ton of space into one impressive fifth wheel. Drop a comment and let me know what you think!

QUICK LAYOUT NOTES
The 389FLH is a big front-living fifth wheel, but the real story for me is Columbus itself.
This is one of those brands I think gets overlooked because it doesn’t always have the same name recognition as some of the other fifth wheels people immediately gravitate toward.
And that’s exactly why I call it the best-kept secret in the industry.
Up front, you’ve got the elevated front living room, creating a completely separate space to kick back and relax. It gives you that true living-room feel instead of having your kitchen, dining area, and seating all competing for the same space.
Drop down into the center of the coach and you’ve got the kitchen and dining area, keeping the cooking space separated from the front living room.
Toward the rear is the elevated bedroom area, giving the 389FLH a completely different flow from the traditional rear-living fifth wheel.
At 42’ 7” long and 102 inches wide, there’s no shortage of space here.
But my argument for Columbus isn’t that it’s cheap.
It’s that I think you’re getting a heck of a lot of fifth wheel for the money without paying a premium simply because of the badge on the front.
That’s why I keep calling Columbus the best-kept secret in the RV industry.
