I had a fantastic time reading The Last War by Mike Shackle this past few months. What a wild, bingeable grimdark military fantasy series! While there were some things that I didn't love in this series, there were SO MANY things I did love in it. That opening book? An absolute stunner. One of my favorite books of the year.
