Today we bake Runeberg´s tortes
The original recipe is from Aitoa Arkiruokaa -blog and you can read it in Finnish there. :)

I made 1,5 x this recipe and I got 16 (too) small cakes.
You need:
200 grams/ 0,44 pounds butter
2 dl / 0,85 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 dl / 0,85 cups flour
2 dl / 0,85 cups breadcrumps
2 dl / 0,85 almond flour/ ground almonds
1 tea spoon baking powder
1 grated orange peel and slightly orange juice or bitter almond aroma / bitter almond liqueur. (I added juice and aroma!)
Rom/ rum aroma
Raspberry jam
Icing sugar
Froth sugar and butter
Add eggs and froth more
Add dry ingredients and mix carefully
Add orange peel and juice and/or bitter almond thing
Put the dough to the cups
In the oven 180 C/ 355 F 20-30 minutes
Let them cool
Moisten the cakes with the rum or with the rum aroma + water + sugar mix
Decorate with jam and icing!
