Welcome back to my violin masterclass video series BestPractice. I am looking forward to sharing my ideas on the craft of violin playing and building the artist's technique! Today we are looking at a wonderful violin exercise from Roland Vamos, inspired by Korgeuv. I have not found a better way to work out problems in double stop passages. Vamos’s exercise is super easy to memorize, yet generates a book’s worth of variations. Practice these as a warmup, or specifically to “treat” problematic double-stop passage!
