How to tie a clove hitch? Where to use the Clove Hitch? And WHY tie a clove hitch? All questions answered in this video. The Clove hitch knot is an incredible one for bushcraft, survival, prepping, and utility uses.
You can tie it with paracord, or pretty much any type of cordage. If the rope is slippery, use the Constrictor Knot variation. My favourite variation is the Clove hitch with a bight slipped through, or in other-words the quick release handle clove hitch!

Learn how to get back in a canoe / Flip and Re-Enter if you find it takes on water or capsizes. Used in deep water when your alone / solo!
Large and Heavier Canoes are hard to flip. This is a technique thats a bit easier to manage.
This is good for canoeing for beginners or advanced canoeists.
Its used if you find yourself far from shore and cant swim to it.
Since this canoe is about 166 long - the Capistrano Flip Method doesnt really work for me.
In this video I show how to empty a swamped canoe, flip it over, and then get in - all in deep water.
Best piece of advice I can give here is to practice the technique so you can stay calm and perform it if you ever need to!
