In my opinion, this is the perfect low-cost, small form factor living room gaming PC you can build right now on a budget. I picked up this scratch-and-dent HP Z2 G5 workstation on eBay for only $170! Since these were originally used as work machines, they are built incredibly well and slide perfectly into an entertainment center.

Out of the box, this Grade C unit came packing a 10th Gen 8-Core/16-Thread Intel i7-10700 and a 400W power supply. To turn it into a true 1440p console killer, I upgraded the RAM to 16GB of DDR4 and swapped the tiny stock drive for a 1TB M.2 SSD.
