Istanbul is a really popular expat destination so it was at the top of our list of places to check out.
And it was on the way to our next destination in SE Asia so it worked out perfectly to spend some time there.
Plus, we wanted to take this exploratory trip to Istanbul to see if it’s a good place for us to get long term residency.
