I shot almost 100 hours of footage over 50 days on the AZT, hiking the entire length of Arizona from the Utah border to Mexico. I dwindled that footage down to 28 minutes, highlighting some of my favorite (and least favorite) moments on trail.
When I started hiking the AZT in October 2020, I had only been backpacking a few times. At the time, the longest backpacking trip I had been on was only 38 miles, over 3 days. I have since done that same stretch in 2 days as my pace and endurance has ramped up to the point where 20 mile days are the norm. I hope this video encourages others to get out there and start hiking and enjoying the wilderness. If I can do it, anyone can!
