monday.com AI Workspace: Where AI Actually Works With Your Team
------------------------------------------------

Most AI tools sound impressive until you realize they are disconnected from the work your team is actually doing. monday.com takes a different approach with its AI Workspace, bringing people and AI agents together around the same boards, data, permissions, deadlines, and goals. Instead of simply adding a chatbot beside your workflow, monday.com lets AI interact directly with the work your team is already managing. Its boards act as a central source of truth for tasks, owners, priorities, timelines, and project status, while automations handle repetitive actions in the background. The result is a workspace where AI can understand the context behind your business instead of generating generic suggestions without knowing what your team is working toward.

One of the most interesting features is monday agents, which can be created using simple instructions without complicated technical setup. In the video, I built an agent called Katherine to analyze customer support inquiries, use a company knowledge base, and draft responses for the team. The agent could read live information from multiple boards and then post finished drafts directly into the CRM for review. You can also configure its objectives, knowledge sources, and triggers, allowing it to work automatically when specific events happen.

monday vibe: Build Custom Apps With AI
------------------------------------------------

monday vibe takes the AI experience a step further by letting you create custom applications simply by describing what you want. Instead of waiting weeks for a developer to build a small internal tool, you can explain the idea in plain English and Vibe can turn it into a working app. During testing, I described an idea incubator for capturing, organizing, and voting on creative concepts, and it produced a functional card-based app with stages, filters, statistics, and individual idea cards. New ideas could then be submitted directly into the system, giving the team a working tool rather than just a concept or template.

There is an important limitation to keep in mind: monday.com's AI capabilities use AI credits, and building an app can consume a meaningful amount of those credits. Still, the value is clear for teams that regularly have small internal tools or workflows they would like to create but never have enough development time to build. monday.com also brings people and agents into the same environment, so AI can handle parts of the work while employees review, approve, and make decisions.

monday.com vs. Competitors: Who Is It Really For?
------------------------------------------------

Compared with platforms like Asana and ClickUp, monday.com takes a broader approach to AI. Instead of relying on one AI feature across the entire platform, monday.com separates its AI capabilities into different roles. Agents can take on recurring work and deliver finished outputs, Sidekick helps with everyday workflows and project organization, and Vibe can create custom applications from natural-language instructions. Features such as AI Notetaker and workflow automation add even more ways to bring AI into everyday operations.

After testing the platform, I think monday.com makes the most sense for teams of five or more that are dealing with sales, marketing, operations, project management, or other complicated workflows and have outgrown spreadsheets and constant status updates. If you're working alone or your processes are simple, you may not need everything the platform offers. If you want to try monday.com for yourself, I've included an affiliate link in the description, along with a free trial. Using the link doesn't cost you anything extra, but it helps support the channel.
