Following the release of their critically acclaimed album The Besnard Lakes are the Ghost Nation in October, the Canadian band are now sharing ‘Pontiac Spirits (Ghost Mix)’, the first in a series of ambient album track remixes.
‘Pontiac Spirits (Ghost Mix)’ stretches the original’s haunting mood into a drifting, cinematic soundscape. Reprocessed guitars, analogue synths and soft drones create a dreamlike, reflective atmosphere. Ideal for ambient, deep focus, and late-night listening, the reimagining - worked on by the band’s Jace Lasek - offers a spacious, immersive take while honouring the song’s ghostly core.
