A track from the compilation 'Radio Tokyo Tapes Vol. 3' released in 1985 on the US label PVC Records.
The Beef Sisters (listed as beefsisters on the collection consisted of Stephanie Shayne (guitar,vocals) and Susan Ackerman (bass,vocals) with a variety of other musicians over time.
They released a self-titled album on Stonegarden Records in 1988 and were also featured on a couple of the Radio Tokyo Tapes compilations.
Radio Tokyo was a recording studio in Los Angeles that was very active in the 1980s and well used. Artists that recorded there included The Minutemen, Savage Republic, Long Ryders, Phranc, Henry Rollins, and many others. Four compilation albums were collected together through the 80's featuring tracks from artists that recorded there, plus a 'Best Of...' collection. The studio was created by Ethan James, ex of the band Blue Cheer who sold on the studio in 1989 to work on other musical projects. Sadly he passed away at the age of 56 in 2003.
