This was petitioned quite ago, but until now I couldn't fulfill it, so here it is: Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), all four takes that were recorded by The Beatles.
Take 1, was recorded on 12 October 1965, under the title ''This Bird Has Flown''. This take was released on Anthology 2. An alternate mix is floating around too (it was not mixed here, as it only contains the song and not the chat before and after the take).
Take 2, was recorded on 21 October 1965, with a heavy sitar introduction and no bass.
Take 3, was also recorded on 21 October 1965, and it's mainly acoustic with no sitar. Only a bit of chat and announcement before the actual attempt starts has been made available, so this is the only missing take (at least partially).
Take 4, was too, recorded on 21 October 1965, and this was the final version deemed to be the best and released on Rubber Soul.
The sound has been remastered as best as I possibly could today. All takes are in stereo, with Take 4 in a different and better stereo mix than even my Stereo Remix & Remaster Rubber Soul album! Enjoy!
