Take 2! After many requests for it, here it is a stereo re-remix and re-remaster by me of ''The Night Before'', the second track of The Beatles fifth album, Help!
This new re-remaster and re-remix was done with the same sources as the first, mainly using the Blu-Ray 5.1 mix/multitracks and the MFSL to fill the missing pieces of the former mix (the intro, second part of the chorus after the solo, and the ending which the Blu-Ray has an explosion mixed in).
Unlike the first mix where I tried to match the sound quality of both after remastering each one separately to their best quality, this second attempt was done by trying to match both sources up to where they would sound similar sonic wise. In this case, The MFSL had to be overall less bassy and slightly more mid-range, while the Blu-Ray needed slightly more bass and less treble. Then the MFSL had its basic and overdub tracks mixed slightly to the left and right in order to match the Blu-Ray placement so that when editing the missing pieces in, it wouldn't sound too obvious that there is an edit. After fixing as much as possible the passages between the edits, the sound was remastered.
The edits might still be obvious but I concentrated my efforts onto the sound quality to be as consistent as possible between the two sources.
