We’re interviewing key players in the new economy, to:
a) bring their work to a wider audience
b) try to find ways to co-ordinate their efforts
c) stimulate debate
d) help to grow the new economy.

By new economy, we mean an economy whose component parts are democratic and non-extractive, rather than undemocratic and extractive.

Here, Dave Darby of Lowimpact.org chats with Graham Mitchell of CoTech. Part 1 is here - youtube.com/watch?v=irpMt560xmc&t=906s

Here's a transcript of the interview: lowimpact.org/growing-co-operative-economy

Highlights
1. It’s down to the processes of co-operation, and creating real economic power through that process. There’s nothing magical required. If we can create economic power, we can make substantial change to the game.
2. Stafford Beer’s viable system model could be really useful in building the complex federations and networks that are needed to build a large enough co-operative sector to challenge the corporate sector.
