Propter Hawk is a Toronto-based rock and roll band that was formed in 2020. The band's sound is a fusion of influences from Humble Pie, The Beatles, The Band, and Otis Redding. The band members include Malorie Blake on lead vocals, Alec McEachern on lead guitar, Andrew Blake on rhythm guitar, Brian Derro on bass and backup vocals, and Jimmy Ruddock on drums and backup vocals. Using vintage gear and a live horn section, the band recorded their self-titled debut album at Pineship Sound in Toronto.
