THE BALTIS - "42/100"
Back in the "Thatcher Era" I wrote Blues Reviews for a magazine called "First Hearing". I was blessed to receive an EP entitled "The Man With The Grasshopper Brain" from a couple of guys, Richard Tracey and Brian Bannister. This became one of my most treasured records, mainly due to this track which mentions "Maggie".
Some 20 odd years later, this track and a couple of others from the EP (such as "Common Purpose") actually feel even MORE important than at the time. Sadly, I believe the duo split before producing their intended album, so this EP is a rarity.
To me it feels more of a crime NOT to share the wonderful, poignant and relevant music than respecting some notional symbol of a "C" within a circle. If you can't buy this then I'm depriving no one of any financial reward am I???
IF Brian or Richard see this, firstly "Hey guys, thanks for the Christmas card and I hope you're both doing well", and secondly "If either of YOU want me to remove this video then just send me a message and I'll obviously respect your wishes and pull it immediately".
