The Ballad of Mulan animation was created by the RCS Confucius Classroom Specialist Hub which operates in partnership with the Confucius Institute for Scotland’s Schools.
The animation has been devised for Scotland's primary schools as part of a wider bank of resources for primary schools to use the creative arts to develop a better understanding of Chinese culture and Mandarin language while also supporting schools put on their own live performances of The Ballad of Mulan.
Pre Juniors Music student Lily Cao (Primary 5) recorded the narration for the animation with more senior Junior Conservatoire of Music students recording the soundtrack working alongside some of the country’s best creative artists.
