Raytraced Translucency just got a ninja update in the preview build of Unreal Engine 4.27, and Unreal Enging 5. Previously, in 4.26, raytraced translucency/glass didn't cast any shadows. At all. Now, it does!
I thought Raytraced Translucency was broken in the 4.27 preview update, but after talking to the devs at Epic Games, I found out that they revamped the way that Raytraced Glass Materials are configured. Now we actually control refraction with the refraction pin, as opposed to with the specular pin.

In this tutorial well be taking a look at how to control the position and placement of your volumetric clouds in Unreal Engine 4 and UE5. By default, Volumetric Clouds are very limited, and dont offer a whole lot of control for art directing. Fortunately there is a very simple solution to this, and thats with the help of Blueprints called Cloud Mask Object and Cloud Mask Generator, only found in the engine settings. This tutorial wont be covering the Paint Clouds method, only the blueprints method.
This method works in both UE4 AND Unreal Engine 5!
