The oxidation reacton of the Seignette Salt with hydrogen peroxide solution, catalysed by Co(II) and Co(III) is shown. The Co(III) is formed in the solution after adding the hydrogen peroxide. This ion calayses much efficiently the oxidation reaction and because it's formed in the solution during the reaction is called AUTOCATALYSIS.
