Have you ever realized your hero walked the very road you’re on?

In 1948, as Israel was being born in the middle of war, Hannah Hurnard—author of Hinds’ Feet on High Places—was here, writing her story in real time. She served with Christ Church Jerusalem @cmj_israel (one of FIRM’s local partners today!) and captured it all in her journal, Watchmen on the Walls.

Now decades later, standing in this land during another war, her words feel less like history and more like a mirror. She stayed. She served. She kept her eyes on Yeshua.

It’s a reminder that we’re part of a story much bigger than ourselves—a story of God’s faithfulness unfolding through generations. 🙌
