Tim acquired this 'Atomic Trampoline Kit' back in 2002. At that time it was being sold by the University of Wisconsin-Madison as an educational item.
The key part is the thin disc of 'amorphous metal' which allows the ball bearing to bounce for such a long time. The instructions include a reference to this disc being made by the Howmet Corporation.
The metal disc. sometimes referred to as 'liquid metal', is an alloy, containing zirconium, titanium, copper, nickel and beryllium.
