The Asiatic cheetah is the world's most endangered big cat, with a population of fewer than 30 individuals remaining exclusively in Iran. Although conservationists saw a brief surge in births recently, a regional war involving strikes from the United States and Israel has severely jeopardized these recovery efforts.
