This talk features three connoisseurs—unquestioned masters in their subjects of expertise—who represent a broad range of fields within art, antiques, and design. Together, they explore what connoisseurship looks like today, how it is passed down through the generations, and what the future holds.
In this conversation, renowned panelists representing different disciplines in art and design will approach the topic of connoisseurship from their unique perspectives. How is expertise in and appreciation for the fine arts cultivated today? How does this knowledge and taste shape collections and collecting habits? And how is connoisseurship passed to future generations? This talk will be recorded for a special edition of Artnet’s “The Art Angle” podcast, which will be published shortly after the event.
