The armor in the Netflix Witcher adaption is both impossibly ugly, and utterly useless, due to classic television tropes.
The Nilfgaardian armor has been rightfully compared to a wrinkled burlap sack, and is not only ugly but also detrimental to the wearer.
The Cintran armor is apparently made out of papier-mache, and splits when hit with an axe. What's the point of wearing armor that doesn't protect you? May as well wear nothing at all.
