In this video I will be introducing a formula I put together of simple, well established equations that will help to explain why boats and buildings appear to disappear from the bottom up. This formula does not take into account any atmospheric distortions which would only make the visibility less than this the sum of this formula based on the optical limitations of any lens with a circular aperture.
