Esoteric philosophy often presents consciousness as a series of layers: physical, etheric, astral, mental, causal, soul, and Higher Self. What exists beyond the soul? Who gives birth to the observer? Can free will survive within an omniscient Consciousness? And what if spiritual expansion changes the depth of focus while experience remains exactly where it has always been?
