In this first episode of a new mini-series, The Archipelago, Layman meets with Bonnitta Roy and Brendan Graham Dempsey to talk about the inspirations behind the Archipelago project, which is to map and interlink the various integrative, new thought communities in their region of the American continent. They discuss upcoming events each will host at Brendan's Sky Meadow retreat center later this year; touch on several of the hubs of new thought and practice in Toronto, Vermont and Connecticut, and reaching down to North Carolina; and reflect on bioregionalism and the importance of cultivating a stronger sense of place as we face potential civilizational risk.
