timesnewsonline | The Appalachian Adventurer: Scott Adams Memorial Skate Park @timesnewsonline | Uploaded May 2024 | Updated October 2024, 22 minutes ago.
This is Scott Adams Memorial Skate Park in Kingsport, Tennessee. Located beside Brickyard Park, the skate park is 10,000 square feet of concrete, steel and fun.
The park is open to non-motorized bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, and scooters. On the day I visited, scooters outnumbered skateboards and riders were taking advantage of all the park has to offer - two bowls (a backyard bowl and a flow bowl), two quarter pipes, a four-stair set with up-down rails, a five-stair with a down rail and a pyramid, and a new pump track to really get the blood pumping.
There’s plenty of parking, clean restrooms and I am very impressed with how well visitors take care of things here - it seems to always be clean, safe and respected.
Pets are not allowed in the skating area, other than service animals, and you’re expected to conduct yourself civilly - no foul language, no graffiti and no causing trouble.
If you’re just into skating and having a good time, this is the place. Visit the Scott Adams Memorial Skate Park at at 2016 Brickyard Park Drive in Kingsport.
