The App Store just changed. Developers in the U.S. can now have an external link to a checkout flow on the web when buying in app purchases or subscriptions. This allows them to bypass the 30% "Apple Tax" and keep most of their revenue. This is a result of the long running legal battle between Epic and Apple.
But... Should you implement this? In this video I explain the details of the new rules, how you can implement an external link into your app and some strategies you can apply. I also discuss how I think Apple will respond with WWDC 2025 right around the corner.
