In this video, we will be discussing a good question asked by our long time subscriber Czarcastic. He asked why the Apollo LM crew would require a riser to stand on to view the Alignment Optical Telescope when there is no need for it.

We also ask why there is a radiation decal on a hatch that the LM ascent engine is directly behind. According to a NASA LM document which we will show, the only radioactive material stowed on the LM was the plutonium core for the RTG which was located outside on the descent stage.

We also ask how a few images could have been taken from the location at the rear of the LM ascent stage, as the ascent engine appears and disappears from image to image.
