Young Jerry Barlow's (Gil Johnson) best friend Whitey Black (Cody Newton) lives in poverty with his mother and his ailing little sister. Whitey saves all the money he earns delivering newspapers to buy an “angel doll” for his sister for Christmas. When Whitey's money is stolen just a few days before Christmas, Jerry secretly replaces the money and is forever changed by the joy of his selfless gift.
