Here's an exclusive look trailer at Mindd Kidzag's fan-edit, entitled "Sins of the Father", an alternate cut to Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Re-edited to give you a new experience to another infamous chapter from the Spider-Man film series.
PLEASE NOTE: The additional footage in this version contains some unfinished effects, non-ADR/on-set audio, and unaltered color grading.
Running Time:
Theatrical Version: 2 hours, 21 minutes
Sins of the Father: 1 hour, 52 minutes
Changes List:
-Removing lines of dialogue and moments that are considered unnecessary or unfunny/cheesy (Electro's Tooth Gap fix, "You're a fraud, Spider-Man", and etc.).
-The beginning of the film has been changed, the entire prologue with Parker's parents and the plane crash scene is removed. The film now opens with Harry Osborn coming home to meet his father, Norman, instead.
-Harry talking about childhood experience to his father is removed.
-Removing small moments from Paul Giamatti's cartoony performance.
-Spider-Man doesn't appear throughout the opening action scene until he rescues Max Dillon.
-Peter lying to Gwen about the police sirens and seeing the ghost of Gwen's father in the police car is removed.
-A deleted scene with Peter and Gwen meeting Flash Thompson at the high school graduation is added.
-Gwen's "I break up with you" line is cut.
-The "day in a life with Spider-Man" montage and Spider-Man spying on Gwen is cut.
-Aunt May's "We have no chimney" and Laundry Sheriff scenes are cut.
-The entire scene with Max Dillon in his Spidey-obsessed apartment is removed.
-Max Dillon's daydream outburst at Oscorp is removed.
-Max bragging about his fake birthday party to Gwen in the elevator and him saying "She remember my name" is removed.
-Peter showing off his powers by skipping a rock in front of Harry is cut.
-A deleted scene with a Oscorp employee paying a mortician "hush money" to cremate Dillon's body and later the mortician is electrocuted after touching Electro is added.
-Peter and Gwen's extended conversation "as friends" is removed.
-Spider-Man's line about a police horse has been changed to "Need a hand?"
-The "Hey, Sparkles" line and Electro talking about having so much anger is cut.
-Electro's "It's my birthday" line is removed.
-Spider-Man celebrating Electro's defeat with the fire-fighters is removed.
-Spider-Man meeting Gwen after the Time Square fight is removed.
-Peter watching the news about the Electro fight is removed.
-A deleted scene with Gwen and Peter in each other's rooms staring at cell phone photos of themselves is added.
-Phillips Phillips' "Gone, Gone, Gone" song from Peter's "crazy wall of clues" montage is removed.
-Peter watching a YouTube video about battery explosions is removed.
-A new montage is created by reusing footage from the previous "crazy wall" and web-shooter vs. batteries scenes.
-A deleted scene with Peter visiting Oscorp and Harry telling him he's dying is added.
-Harry's "Does whatever a spider can" line is cut.
-Peter and Gwen's dialogue about cliché hiding places is removed.
-Peter ridiculously stalling Oscorp security from getting Gwen is slightly trimmed.
-Electro with the cartoony German scientist at the Ravencroft facility is removed.
-Peter meeting Gwen at the Oxford University building is removed.
-A deleted scene with Gwen stopping by Peter's house and meeting Aunt May before leaving to England is added.
-Richard Parker's specifying "My bloodline" line is cut.
-Electro's payback to the cartoony German scientist and his "friend" conversation with Harry is cut.
-Electro's confusing "Remember me" line to Donald Menken at Oscorp is cut.
-A deleted scene with Harry as the Green Goblin ambushing Oscorp security with a pumpkin bomb is added.
-Gwen's "Stop the cab" joke is cut.
-All of the air traffic control scenes are removed.
-Felicia encountering Harry as the Green Goblin after the Oscorp attack is added.
-Spider-Man's "A god named Sparkles" line is cut.
-A deleted scene with Green Goblin dropping Donald Menken to his death is added.
-The electronically "Itsy-Bitsy Spider" moment is heavily trimmed.
-Spider-Man's webbing turning into a "hand reaching" form at Gwen is cut.
-A deleted shot with Peter sitting on top of a building after visiting Gwen's grave is added.
-The original ending with Spider-Man returning and facing off with the Rhino is removed.
-The film now ends with Spider-Man's return by reusing footage from the "day in the life" montage (saving people, etc.) and Spidey swinging around New York from the beginning of the theatrical cut.
-The scene with the mysterious silhouetted character visiting Harry at Ravencroft is now a mid-credits scene and the "Now that Spider-Man's gone" line is removed.
