The age of European nationalism gave us the 1848 revolutions, The Crimean War, The Scramble for Africa, The Franco-Prussian Wars, the Schleswig-Holstein wars, The Great Northern War, The Russo-Japanese War, the Spanish-American War, the colonization of India, The two World Wars and of course, the Holocaust. But maybe this new generation of nationalists taking over our countries are genuine in their peacenik promises.
