Iain Petrie | The Adventures of Twizzle. Now in HD! Colourised. See Link in description. Director: Gerry Anderson @IKP1000 | Uploaded July 2020 | Updated October 2024, 15 hours ago.
I've enhanced and 2x Upscaled The Adventures of Twizzle from its SD format to HD and the difference in quality is remarkable. You can see the restored and enhanced HD version here:

I'll leave the original SD version here on YouTube if you want to compare the HD with the original. I'll also be uploading the B&W HD version here soon.
Twizzle and Footso is only episode of The Adventures of Twizzle known to have survived. This is the first episode made, and it was first broadcast in November 1957. It was written by Roberta Leigh and directed by Gerry Anderson. The original is black and white but I colourised it using the superb DeOldify, (Render setting 28) with additional enhancements in PowerDirector 10 (colour saturation, and lighting adjustment).
Details of the restoration process:
Topaz Video Lab AI did a great job on upscaling, noise reduction and deblurring, (more about this in another video to come) and the new software I'm using, PowerDirector 20 takes things to a new level, as it has features in it I'd never heard of, such as Edge Detection Enhancement and Highlight Healing, as well as a very nice Sharpening tool which seems far superior to the one I've been using for years in PD 10. I will be uploading a lot more content like this so if you enjoy it, please consider subscribing. It really helps me when you do that!
