The Adventures of a Russian Hovercraft Christy 9205 FC NZ in New Zealand
We are pleased to announce the launch of a new boat project CHRISTY-9205, made on special order for a commercial travel company in New Zealand.
Pukaki Lake will be home to the only company in New Zealand planning to use a hovercraft to provide eco-tourism services. Thus, it is planned to attract more tourists to the area.
A unique trip along the Tasman River and Lake Pukaki will be available, where a hovercraft will be used for both tourism activities and as a vehicle for cyclists. For this purpose, the ship will be equipped with special bicycle carriers.
The hovercraft will open up a largely inaccessible part of the area to tourists and also provide transportation through the Tasman River for cyclists traveling along the Alps 2 Ocean bike route from its official starting point Aoraki (Cook Mountain).
The Alps 2 Ocean cycling trail is a 310-kilometer cycle path running from the beautiful slope of the highest mountain of New Zealand, Aoraki (Cook Mountain), and descending the foothills of the Southern Alps, which leads cyclists past magnificent lakes and rivers winding along the Canterbury Plain, Until the Pacific reaches Oamaru.
Nowhere else in the world will you be able to ride an air cushion with a view of Aoraki (Mount Cook). This is something new and exciting, something that has never been done by any visitor to New Zealand.
The new air-cushion ship CHRISTY-9205 accommodates up to 11 tourists, plus a pilot, with the following characteristics:
