Yeah, these animals had a story. And rather evidently they have had that story ended. When people say this, they’re seeming to romanticise a story without actually considering that the story of a strawberry growing in a field and an animal who was born into the world are notably different. I have spoken to sanctuaries about birds who have escaped slaughterhouses and befriended the next person they've seen only to now live purring in sanctuaries. Or about a pig who fell off a transport truck who would be dead now if not for her escape, she was rescued with the help of some bananas and when she was put in the rescuers car, she filled the car with the aroma of maple syrup, because some pigs will secrete a hormone when they feel good that smells sweet. These are stories of animals who are now morally considered. The stories of animals who are bred into existence to be used by humans are nothing short of tragedies.
