Wrath of Math | The ACTUAL Origin of the Fibonacci Sequence (not immortal rabbits) @WrathofMath | Uploaded 1 month ago | Updated 2 hours ago
We discuss the Fibonacci sequence, it's origins in Leonardo Fibonacci's Liber Abaci text and a problem concerning the breeding of rabbits, and then consider its much older origins from the Indian poet and mathematician Pingala, who discovered the sequence while considering the number of variations of Sanskrit poetry which could be composed in a certain number of beats, consisting of short and long syllables. #fibonacci #maths #mathematics
