This is the story of the Landmark / Hotel Stamey. A building that once symbolized wealth, the oil boom, Salt City prosperity… even hosted Hollywood and President Harry Truman. Today, it sits empty, a hulking reminder of what Hutchinson used to be and a test of whether historic preservation can still win in a Midwest downtown.
