Here's why I still lean Air over Neo for college. The big thing for me is RAM, the Air starts at 16GB while the Neo starts at 8. Yeah, 8 can get you by, but macOS needs a chunk of that just to run before you even open an app, so you hit that wall fast. Could you close apps constantly to manage it? Sure, but let's be honest, nobody actually does that every time. Add in exports being 4 to 6 times faster on the Air, and the extra money is worth it.
