What happens when a bizarre alien lifeform arrives on Earth in a comet? Chances are it quickly grows to a gigantic size by feeding on humanity's pollution and combining with other monsters of their own kind. And that’s basically what Hedorah is all about! Just as Godzilla was born from anxieties about nuclear war, Hedorah was created as a warning against the dangers of environmental disaster. Being a giant blob of poison, this monster of an alien is bizarre at so many levels.
But the most bizzare feature about this creature has got to be the fact that by feeding on pollutants and combining with other Hedorahs, Hedorah can grow substantially in size and evolve into new, more powerful forms. Also, I’m telling you, the evolution that this abomination is capable of is frightening! So, with that out of the way, let’s get on with today’s special premiere of the Evolution of the Alien Smog Monster, Hedorah!
