I made two pieces of my summer capsule in the same black and white gingham. What did I learn? You cannot match every single seam and trying to will ruin your whole day. Also:
- Prioritize center front and center back first. That's where eyes go.
- Cut small pieces on the bias so they become a feature instead of a problem.
- Mark your seamlines before you cut so you're matching the right line.
- Cut flat instead of on the fold.
- Use wonder tape for the lap-and-edgestitch method on anything that needs to be perfect.
