Mayor John Muns and the City of Plano launched the 13th annual Plano Mayor’s Summer Internship Program (PMSIP) on January 13, 2026.

Local media, business leaders, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders were invited to attend the kickoff event. The program opens the 2026 application period and continues the momentum of an initiative that has connected more than 1,000 Plano ISD students to paid, career-building internships since 2014.
