This readathon is inspired by the tradition to celebrate the “12 days of Christmas” and by the “12 days of Christmas” song. Enjoy the bookish prompts with extra cozy activities.

The Prompts:

Gift yourself a relaxing cozy moment after the busy holidays.
1. Light a candle, read a cozy mystery for 30 minutes

12 days of Christmas Chronicles
--------------------------------------------------
Nigel Slater describes “The 12 days of Christmas” as peaceful and gentle. A time to slow down. In “The Christmas Chronicles” he writes notes, thoughts, recipes for these days.
2. Create a personal 12-day bookish journal. Write every day your favorite quotes, your thoughts about your reads, your experiences, etc.
3. Peruse a cozy cookbook

12 Days of Christmas Fun (inspired by the song: The 12 days of Christmas)

Christmas with the Savages

Twelfth Night Cake

In the past “Twelfth Night” marked the end of Christmas. It was usually celebrated with elaborate parties. The Twelfth Night Cake was an essential part of these festivities.
11. Celebrate the “Twelfth Night” and discover a new, exciting book for 2023. Try a chapter from a book that has been lingering on your TBR
You have two options:
Option 1 – “English Twelfth Night Cake”, a traditional rich fruit cake: Try a chapter of two books right up your alley.
Option 2 – “French Twelfth Night Cake”, the French galette des rois – an almond sponge pastry: Try a chapter of two books out of your comfort zone.
