i guess the storyline's kind of explained in the song but basically.. character 1's partner has killed someone, and character 2 is a relative of character 1 advising them not to take the fall for their partner. lady is tramp's girlfriend and peg's step-sister; tramp got into a street fight and accidentally killed someone (also he's just a criminal in general). tod is vixey's brother, and he's considering taking the blame for a murder his abusive boyfriend copper committed. jenna is steele's girlfriend and balto's cousin, and jenna is a witness to one of steele's murders. it's a fun time for all these cartoon animals
