I once visited a church where the pastor said that the Bible tells us we are to meditate... and it does. Then he went on to teach Eastern meditation... teaching how to calm yourself, empty your mind and focus on a single verse or word. That's not Biblical meditation! Biblical meditation involves filling your mind with God's word, thinking about it and how it relates to other parts of scripture and... how it relates your life. Biblical meditation IS Bible study.
